At InfoComm 2012, Visionary Solutions Inc. (VSI) will exhibit the latest advancements in its portfolio of IPTV and Internet encoding products for pro A/V applications. The company will demonstrate PackeTV® Mobile, an integrated HTTP-based media streaming server. Also on display will be VSI’s flagship AVN series encoders, designed for use in Media Processing Platform (MPP) chassis/blade systems.
Additionally, Visionary Solutions’ executive Will Bakewell will speak about the building blocks of a successful IPTV system.
Executive Speaking Session
Will Bakewell, director of business development and national sales for Visionary Solutions, will deliver a presentation titled “Understanding the Building Blocks in an IPTV System,” as part of the InfoComm A/V Systems Technology and Design/Networked A/V Systems super track session. During the presentation, scheduled for June 14 at 2:30 p.m., Bakewell will provide attendees with a thorough understanding of the basics of configuring encoders and decoders in an IPTV system. Additionally, the presentation will cover the differences, challenges, approaches, and solutions involved with implementing a successful IPTV solution, followed by examples of relevant markets and applications.
NEW for InfoComm 2012: PackeTV® Mobile
PackeTV® Mobile is Visionary Solutions’ easily deployed HTTP-based media streaming communications system. Available as a server-based product, PackeTV Mobile makes simple work of delivering live and file-based content. A person-friendly Web GUI offers easily understood set-up and operational choices for the user. PackeTV Mobile is a solid foundation for mobile IP video distribution to iOS, Android™ phones, iPads®, and other tablets. PackeTV conveys programing to hundreds of clients from one server, or from a hosted solution to reach unlimited clients via a corporate or public network.
AVN 443 Encoder
Visionary Solutions’ AVN443 encoder enables encoding of high-definition and standard-definition video via an HDMI®/DVI-D or SDI input, and is suitable for all applications requiring cost-effective, low bit rate video distribution over IP networks. The base model includes 480i SD encoding with closed-captioning support. Optional modules enable forward error correction and support for image resolutions of 720p, 1080i, or full 1080p60 in an H.264 stream.
The AVN443 also features a modular firmware architecture, which lowers the base price. Users can purchase only those features they need while enjoying the flexibility to upgrade easily in the future as their requirements change.
At InfoComm 2012, VSI will demonstrate a fully integrated HTTP-based media streaming communications system, PackeTV® Mobile, that enables conversion of transport streams into HTTP Live Streaming (HLS), allowing for the simultaneous distribution of content to an unlimited number of iPhone®, iPad®, and Android™ 3.0 devices.
Digital Signage Application
VSI will demonstrate how IPTV encoders efficiently distribute and contribute content as part of a digital signage ecosystem that eliminates redundant equipment costs.
End-to-end IPTV System
VSI will showcase an end-to-end IPTV system with equipment from leading middleware partners and set-top box manufacturers that features comprehensive video-on-demand management solutions including channel guides, aggregated entertainment packages, user-defined content, and more.
AMX Vision2 Application
Visionary Solutions AVN441 encoders will be featured in a live demo of AMX’s Vision2 in booth C4808. Vision2 is fully-integrated video capture, management, and broadcast system for organizations and homeowners wanting a comprehensive, yet simple to use IP video delivery solution.
